I'm planning on checking out the CROE website. Interesting. I know this sounds silly to say but I have RARELY seen a Muslim man in my venue
( with the exception of my husband) dressed in a suit.

I personally believe that true white supremacist know that the NOI is probably one of the or perhaps was one of the greatest organizations for black people in all of North America.

My deen is on the rocks... but I must say that the NOI makes the little bit of the deen I have left in me proud. I don't see anything wrong with taking pride in who you are, and using that uplift others for a common good.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I hope you can share more like this in the future. Thanks again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1752646546511186140.post-43445257002388926902008-12-06T23:43:00.000-06:002008-12-06T23:43:00.000-06:00*UPDATE* Yep. Mr. Cao is a Republican.

"Turnout appeared light in the district, where two-thirds of voters are Democrats and 11% are Republicans. More than 60% are Black."

Of course, I have NO interest in seeing the corrupt incumbent remain in office. But we should have rallied around a competent AA candidate to replace him. Instead, we sat at home because as the man quoted in the article I mentioned above said, "We got what we wanted." We have our 1st Black president figure head.

This is just the earliest of many political losses AAs will suffer due to our mass choice to live vicariously through the Obama-ssiah & his wife. There will be many more losses. As I said, we will look up one day & belatedly realize that we have a "Black" president & nothing else.

Peace, blessings, and solidarity.Khadijahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07732325133964607276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1752646546511186140.post-54784196359864851562008-11-29T18:51:00.000-06:002008-11-29T18:51:00.000-06:00Welcome, Miriam!I don't know about the calendar si...Welcome, Miriam!

I don't know about the calendar situation. But I DO know that AAs have already settled back into our traditional political coma, "secure" in the knowledge that our false messiah is about to land.

I was extremely disgusted to read an example of this is in a news story about the current campaign for a congressional seat in New Orleans. There is a Republican Vietnamese-American running against incumbent Congressman William "Cool Cash" Jefferson.

Several Black voters were quoted as saying that they were going to sit out this election because, as one man put it, "I got what I wanted [with Obama's election." So, these fools are willing to risk AAs losing yet ANOTHER political position to non-Blacks.

This is part of what I tried to explain in Part 2 of Charity Begins at Home: the fact that the bulk of these other so-called people of color's political advances are coming at the expense of the AA community!

I believe that AAs' mass complacency & willingness to live vicariously through the Obama family will drive the final nails into our political coffin! We'll look up one day and have a "Black" president, and NOTHING ELSE!

Peace, blessings and solidarity.Khadijahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07732325133964607276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1752646546511186140.post-71291826010020928212008-11-29T17:56:00.000-06:002008-11-29T17:56:00.000-06:00"Yes, I can see that the landing field for the fal..."Yes, I can see that the landing field for the false messiah is being prepared, and will be ready for January 2009. "

lol

I think some, many, do await this messiah. But I think there are those who love the historic moment-ness of it all and what it can do image-wise for the AA world.

Despite Obama though, many calendars show a time of change is approaching. The Mayan calendar for example (for 2012). Does the Koran say something about these times?Miriamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06067406973014144499noreply@blogger.com
