Wildest Dreams Check-In, Week 7

Today is Day 47 of the Power 90 program. My goodness, I'm halfway through this first phase of getting my college body back! [I'm going to start the P90x program after I finish this one. P90x is all about extreme---and I do mean EXTREME---levels of fitness. I'm not ready for that. Yet.]

Gold Stars

I'm slightly less tired, slightly less sore, and somewhat less irritable than I was feeling last week. LOL!

I've also (unhappily) moved on to doing the more advanced Phase 3-4 workouts. They have more difficult versions of several exercises. For example, the Phase 1-2 weight training workout has you doing standard push ups. Phase 3-4 calls for decline push ups.This is a more difficult push up, performed with the feet raised up on a box or bench.

The Awful Truth

I cheated a couple of days this week, and did the Phase 1-2 workouts. I can't justify this at all because they now feel noticeably easier.

What's going on with you? How are your Wildest Dreams (of any type, not just fitness/health related) coming along?

  3. Greetings Khadija! {waves}

    I salute you on week seven!! WOW!

    I have heard that whenever we do anything for 21 days straight that it becomes a habit. You have certainly passed that milestone!!

    I am excited to hear about your progress! {standing ovation}

    Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!

  4. Greetings, Lisa!

    Thank you for your kind words, encouragement, and standing ovation! I truly appreciate it. I wouldn't call all of this a "habit," though. I could immediately STOP doing all of this and never miss it! LOL!

    Peace, blessings and solidarity.

  5. There's no turning back for you now. Keep pushing!

    I use to have the mindset of "saving" jewelry or clothes for special occasions. No more. I wear my best stuff on a daily basis and feel great and get many compliments.

    I am eating well 90 percent of the time. I tried weight watchers, but could not fully commit to it.

    I checked out the power 90 phase approach you are doing. Are you working with a personal trainer for your workouts and nutrition plan or is it strictly the videos? What happens when you complete the phases?

  6. Hey Woman!!

    Great job!! Keep it up! YOU CAN DO IT! (woo hoo happy dance with raised fist!)

    Remember, 21 days of doing something good makes a "habit"..you are well on your way!

    I reached my mini- goal on my b-day Saturday! Next goal, 10 lbs or one more size down by end of March - oh and get at least two chapters written/finished a week.

    Peace and blessings to all!

  7. Greetings, Energize!

    Thank you for your encouragement. I truly appreciate it.

    I'm following the nutrition plan that the personal trainer designed for me years ago. [Due to my current work schedule, I just don't have the time for set, regular appointments with a trainer.]

    I'm going to start the P90x program after I finish the Power 90 program. [After a week or so of vacation from all of that!]

    I applaud your efforts with eating right! {raised fist salute}

    I agree with you about not "saving" the "good stuff" for special occassions. The time to enjoy it, and glory in it, is RIGHT NOW!!! {2-hand high five}

    Greetings, Tracy!

    Thank you for your encouragement. I truly appreciate it. Although, I wouldn't call this a "habit." I could quite comfortably STOP doing all of this at any moment! LOL!

    Congratulations on your successful efforts! {raised fist salute}

    Peace, blessings and solidarity.
