Reality Check: African-Americans STILL Need To Have Racial Discipline In the Obama AND Post-Obama Era, Part 2

Some thoughts about the latest Out Of Control Militarized American Police excessive force incident.

This latest incident happened in McKinney, Texas, and a teenage Black girl in a bikini at a pool party was attacked by an out of control cop. HERE'S what a White male, US military intelligence veteran writer and entrepreneur Sovereign Man had to say about it at his site. Video: Cop goes on profanity-laden tirade in affluent suburb, pulls out his gun on two kids.

As I watched this deranged "Rambo" officer do a totally unnecessary tuck and roll at the beginning of the video, I was reminded of yet another deranged "Rambo" officer who was recently acquitted of manslaughter by a judge in Ohio. This individual jumped on the hood of an unarmed Black couple's car, and fired a barrage of bullets through the windshield into the couple. All of which resulted in their deaths.

NONE of this behavior makes any tactical sense. I'm just a civilian. But, regarding Rambo #1, I don't see how slowing your running pace to drop onto the ground and roll---during a foot chase---helps you catch the person you're chasing. Rambo#2 claimed not to recall jumping on the hood of the car to shoot through the windshield.

Let's assume for the sake of argument that the unarmed couple had actually been armed and shooting at the police. How does jumping directly into their line of fire help Rambo#2 in that kind of situation? It doesn't. Normal, sane law enforcement and military professionals try to take cover and shoot at armed opponents from a covered position.

My guess is that Rambo #2 knew the already wounded couple weren't a threat to him. Seems to me he jumped onto the hood and shot through the windshield to finish them off. But there's a bigger point about all of this:

Large numbers of modern-day militarized American police are so crazed and unprofessional that they reenact scenes from action movies when dealing with Black members of the public!

New-school African-Americans better recognize and act like you know this! The life you save may be your own.

I said the following during THIS post from May 2009:
In terms of my living memory, the parents of most AAs in my age group (40s) made a POINT of showing us old pictures of what Emmett Till looked like in his open casket when we were around 11-12 years old. And, so did our teachers, for those of us who went to Black grammar schools/junior high schools.

They did this so that we could truly understand what lynching meant. Almost every AA I know in my age group saw that horrible picture as a pre-teen or young teenager."

As a result of the photos and the explanations surrounding them, most African-Americans in my age group and older were not naive about the potentially deadly consequences of wandering into unknown, non-Black residential areas. This horrible picture of Emmett Till was worth more than a thousand words about carefree wandering into certain places.

We were also not naive about the potential consequences of any of us "showing out" on a White campus, in a White workplace, in a majority White residential area, or any other White setting.

Our parents and other relatives drummed into our heads the message that if we "clowned" and did something inappropriate in a White setting, our actions would have consequences not just for us as individuals. But also for every African-American person that came to that particular setting after us. We were exhorted and raised to not be the Black person who screws things up for every Black person who comes behind us. This was one example of racial discipline.

Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, my generation of African-Americans failed to communicate this message to our children. That's why there are African-Americans (like the foolish Black female college student interviewed in this story) who are shocked that there's a backlash splashing onto them when other Blacks do inappropriate things.

Many of us want to believe that those days are over; and we're living in a post-racial country. Well . . . on some levels, yes. On others levels, NO. We need to snap out of our Obama-induced delirium and understand that we're still perceived in a category separate, apart and inferior from everybody else.

As I've mentioned before, everybody except African-Americans is in the process of becoming perceived as White. I see this in the police reports and government forms that I work with everyday. Unless somebody is blue-black in color and without a single strand of hair that could be called wavy, they are classified as "White" on these forms. This includes deep-brown East Indians. This includes Black Arabs. This includes deep-brown, Indian Latinos. This includes everybody except African-Americans.

One benefit of being perceived as either White or sort-of White, is the ability to access portions of White privilege. This is why a Korean student at Virgina Tech could kill over 30 people on campus without his actions leading to a pogrom against Korean or Asian students on White campuses. This does not apply to us. Anything any one of us does will most likely be held against the rest of us.

Just like before the Obama era. We still have a need for racial discipline.
*Note* Here's an excellent blog post about the importance of "understanding where you are."http://www.groupnewsblog.net/2007/09/do-you-understand-where-you-are.html
A lot of new-school African-Americans (AAs) don't get it. I agree with what a commenter named Formavitae said in response to THIS post over at Neecy's Nest. Here's a partial quote from her comment:
3. I don’t get what blacks don’t understand about “not being wanted” and why it’s so important for them to go/be places they AREN’T wanted. (I’ll get back to this later.)
4. A few things I noted the girl and her father said during the interview:
A. The cop(s) came around saying only two people were allowed to come to the pool per pass. The girl/her father/ associates started asking the cop(s) if the white visitors were asked the same thing (because they don’t believe that policy has ever been enforced).
B. There were black males without passes who were trying to gain entry/jumping over the fence and saying they were with the girl’s party, even though the girl/her family denied knowing the guys.
C. The black/Hispanic kids were cursing at the cop(s) and telling them to “Shut up”, because the cop(s) also yelled things at them.
D. The girl kept yelling, “Freedom of speech,” to the cop(s), even as they tried to control her behavior.
Ok…Let’s be real.
A. Cops have legal authority, legal weapons, and (initially) the law on their side to do the following: approach you, without your request; enter your “space” to an extent, if they feel you are “breaking the law/rules”; give certain orders and expect compliance; ARREST you, for not submitting; respond to complaints from “concerned citizens”; so-called “keep the peace”, etc.
B. Blacks ARE NOT a “protected group” in American society (or ANY society, really). So, to act like you have the same social protections as a privileged class makes absolutely NO SENSE.
C. There’s a good chance they would have done the same to a group of WHITES, if the whites were considered “P.W.T.”
D. Why do blacks act like they don’t understand that “What works for ‘THEM’ don’t work for ‘US'”?
5. The image put out by AAs of black women/girls being “tough”, “loud-mouthed”, “non-feminine”, “azz-kickers” IS NOT helping them secure any protections, courtesies, or considerations in society. Furthermore, online videos of girls jumping/attacking people, cursing out strangers, and joining black boys in attacking innocents is doing EXTREME DAMAGE to the concept of black females as having “vulnerability”.
6. Back to a previous thought. If blacks wanted, they could have THEIR OWN community pools, party houses, “good neighborhoods”, etc., so that they could socialize in a more protected environment (though history shows that would stop external jealousies or assaults–but, blacks have more resources today to secure their own protections). UNFORTUNATELY, there would be blacks who would attempt to exploit, rob, destroy an black communities that existed–just as those LYIN’ FOOLS created additional problems for this family trying to have their own pool party.
7. I hope the ACLU DOES pursue this incident on an aggressive level. Blacks need the support of others who have political CLOUT, since we’ve squandered away our own.
8. UNFORTUNATELY, blacks have left themselves at the mercy of others. Others’ patience, others’ resources, others’ infrastructure, others’ willingness to see us as equal human beings, others’ protection…the list goes on and on. It doesn’t HAVE to be this way. But, since AAs have decided to focus on investing in and valuing others more than their own selves, THIS IS THEIR PLIGHT.
9. I don’t know what else to say. Words fail me.
Yeah, I feel the same way. In real life (and online) I don't have a lot of new conversation for these types of incidents. Because I believe that AAs have started to reap the whirlwind that we've collectively sown as described in Hosea 8:7 of the Bible. [I'm Muslim, but I recognize that most of the readership is Christian.]

I believe that a lot of AAs' collective problems were set in motion decades (actually, over a century) ago: by our individual and collective refusal to "do for self" and our refusal to "support self." There are a handful of exceptions (I'm an exception, some of you readers are exceptions, there are other exceptions), but I'm talking about the vast majority of AAs.

In terms of AAs reaping what we've collectively sown, I feel the last straw was AAs' collective choice to worship a false idol called Barack Obama:
Parallel Commentaries
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
8:5-10 They promised themselves plenty, peace, and victory, by worshipping idols, but their expectations came to nothing. What they sow has no stalk, no blade, or, if it have, the bud shall yield no fruit, there was nothing in them. The works of darkness are unfruitful; nay, the end of those things is death. The hopes of sinners will deceive them, and their gains will be snares.

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 7. - For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. The harvest corresponds to the seed-time; their foolish and vain idolatries shall have corresponding results. This proverbial expression imports more than merely labor in vain; it denotes labor that has an injurious and destructive result. It has more than a negative significancy of lost labor; it conveys the idea of positive detriment.
". . . their gains will be snares." During the very first blog post I ever wrote dated September 5, 2008, I warned y'all how this was going to play out:
Those of you who know me already know that I've been yelling the alarm about the coming financial collapse. And about how most Black folks (due to Obama-related-mania) are not doing anything to prepare. Here's a recap:

1. This economy is going to crash around our heads. This process has already begun. I strongly urge everyone to develop as many income streams as possible. ASAP. Depending on a single paycheck is courting disaster.

2. We haven't seen the full extent of the damage because the powers that be (PTB) have been hiding much of the damage. The PTB have done this to protect the image of the boy-prince, George W. Bush. The PTB won't extend the same service to Sen. Obama if he is elected president. In fact, if Obama is elected, they'll let it all fall apart to ensure that he gets the blame for the past 8 years of fiscal mismanagement.

3. In the midst of frolicking in our Obama-mania, most Black people haven't thought through the repercussions of having Sen. Obama elected.

4. For example, if Sen. Obama is elected president this means that the days of crying to Whites about racism are OVER. For real. They won't entertain that noise anymore. They will say that racism can't be that bad---after all, a Black (sort-of) man was elected president.

[For the purposes of this discussion, I won't go into detail about how in order to be the first viable "Black" presidential candidate, it seems that the candidate must be half-Other and half-foreign origin. In order to have a serious chance to be the first Black president, it helps that Sen. Obama is half-White and half-something-other-than-African-American. Politically, this is a a new "paper bag test" in operation.]

5. Black leadership (such as it is) does not have any other strategy beyond protesting racism. Collectively, Black folks don't have a back-up plan. This is a problem.

6. If elected, a Pres. Obama will feel the need to prove to Whites that he's not partial to us. He will do this by ignoring our issues and problems. There won't be any help coming from an Obama Administration. Not specifically for Black folks.

7. Because Black folks are addicted to symbol over substance, most of us will continue to support a Pres. Obama no matter what he does. Even while he literally ignores us to death. After all, we "gotta support a brother." We love seeing Black faces in high places. Even when these Black-skinned folks do a great deal of damage to our interests. [For examples, see Black folks' continued expressions of support and admiration for Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, etc.]
I also agree with a July 2009 comment from Evia (blog hostess of Black Female Interracial Marriage Ezine) that I quoted in the post The Overall African-American “Tribe” Is Ruined, ButYou Can Still Thrive As An African-American Woman If You Get Back To Basics.

I think Khadija, that some bw are reading our warnings here, but are still NOT connecting the cold, hard, bitter dots.

We've all heard by now about the swim club in Philly that didn't let the black kids use the pool.

This is going to sound harsh, but if as is being reported that the OOW rate among AAs has risen to 82% (???) as ActsofFaith Blog is reporting on her blog (and 70% was ALREADY just mindboggling), why is it that we don't expect for people to not to want to have anything to do with us AAs with either of those rates? We are a FAILED people--as a group.

You've continually warned--ever since I've been aware of you--about the permanent underclass that's forming--that the bulk of AAs will be stuck in.

I've been keenly aware of this too and this is why I've advocated that those AAs with common sense need to try to separate and get a new brand. AAs will very soon become complete pariahs. No one will want to associate with us. Other races and even other black ethnics cannot tell most of us apart from the Sheniquas and DeShawns even now if we're out of context. Most people already consider us a part of that permanent underclass. I know this may be painful to some, but AAs have been written off as a loss.

I even know some working class AAs who don't want their children to socialize with, go to the boys and girls club or any camp with, or associate with other working class AA children because the AA TITANIC is mostly underwater. Everyone knows that way too many AA children tend to be rowdy and out of control. No one wants their children to sink to where Sheniqua and Ray-Ray's children have sunk. Many AA parents I know have already taken their children out of public schools to get them away from Sheniqua and Ray Ray's children. There's going to be a lot of fallout. Things are going to get very ugly!

This is what we've been talking about here all of the time. I'm not quite sure why there's surprise about this story. There are black clubs that wouldn't want those children to use the swim club. The Ywca and Ymca in the last 2 areas I've lived in have raised the fees astronomically high to keep out Sheniqua and Ray-Ray's children. They let a few of them in after a 2-week waiting list and then a screening process. They check police records, school records, family records, etc.

So guess what? Folks will protest and that club may let those black kids in there, but the whites are then going to put their kids somewhere else.

Also, let me point out that many continental Africans ALSO don't want to have anything much to do with AAs these days. AAs have degenerated and everybody seems to know it except for some of us. You constantly talk about this and I constantly talk about the ABC-DBR effect on all of us, yet I think some people think we're exaggerating. LOL!

Many young continental African women here are STRICTLY forbidden not to EVER date an AA man. Some segments of AA women are still considered okay because we're considered education-oriented, ambitious and more responsible, but this general ABC-DBR virus is really a pox on all AAs. Yet so many AAs continue to make excuses, defend, rationalize, enable, cover it up and not call it out for what it is.

Some of us individual AAs will do fine, but the general group had better brace itself. AAs are in a free fall. The bitter truth is that many people in other groups do NOT want ANY connection with AAs unless it's on their terms.

And AAs have sat back and allowed the ABCs and DBRs to do this. There's no point in being angry at anyone else. 'We have met the enemy and he is us' (or those AAs who sat silently and allowed this to happen.)
I quote from previous years' conversations, because I would strongly urge readers to take the time to browse through earlier BWE/Common Sense bloggers' archives. These issues are not new. Neither are the solutions for individual AA women (and groups of like-minded AA women).

Take whatever you find useful from what's been said, and leave the rest. I'm going to get back to living my life and working my abundance plan.

Addendum---THIS MESS was the negro male response to this attack. No further commentary needed. It's a wrap on AAs.

The Time To Get A Concealed Carry License Is NOW

In this post, I’m only talking to those African-American women who are serious about surviving and thriving in the future.
NOT those women in the BWE reading audience who are reading these posts as entertainment-only. While they refuse to take action on any of the life-saving and life-enhancing strategies that have been discussed over the years at various BWE and Common Sense blogs.

I’m certainly not talking to the oblivious BW described in a recent Facebook post by Breukelen Bleu. As she correctly notes, there are large numbers of BW who are so preoccupied with issues that primarily affect BM that they’re not paying attention to the various things that are already affecting them and their dependent children:

"The shit that is unraveling in front of us is insane, but most BW are not even discussing it because all of their attention is going to issues that predominantly affect BM.

They are privatizing the projects.
Closing abortion clinics.
Limiting access to birth control.
Shutting off water to entire neighborhoods.
http://rt.com/shows/breaking-set-summary/220103-detroit-homeless-human-right/

I sincerely hope that BW are prepared to accept what comes when you focus exclusively on the needs of others, while the world around you crumbles."

Yeah, she’s right.

Anyhoo, there’s been something tugging at the edge of my thoughts after I published THIS POST about the angry BM who shot his BW ex-girlfriend before killing 2 New York City police officers purportedly as revenge for the police killing of Eric Garner.

I’ve been educating myself, and the thought that’s been nagging at me became fully formed while watching my [Latino] firearms instructor show some of the gun rights and related news videos he has collected. Including the video embedded below that’s about a local case from Chicago.

The thought came to me: What the BM who killed those two NYC police officers did will probably become a patterned response for those BM who “snap” as an exasperated White America cracks down on African-American male criminality (and BM in general). Meaning the BM who “snap” will make a point of shooting some Black woman before they run out to attack nonblack men. They’ll make a point of taking at least one BW down with them (into death) as they run out on their murder-suicide sprees.
I have the feeling these matters will play out this way because African-American (AA) males have made BW a hate object over the past 35 years. AA males hate BW as much as they hate the nonblack men who rule over them. No amount of BW’s mammy muling or Sista Soldiering for BM’s causes will ever change that.

Another (numerically MUCH larger) threat to consider is the growing number of AA males with dead eyes. I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve noticed that I’m seeing more and more random BM with dead eyes walking around in public. There’s a LOT of hate in those dead eyes.

And guess who those BM With Dead Eyes perceive as the easiest and most appropriate target for that hatred? If you’re savvy, you’ll get ready just in case those dead eyes decide to run up on you.  I hope I'm wrong about this. All I do know for sure is that I've correctly predicted a number of things that many other AA women didn't see coming until after-the-fact.

While even the more savvy and aware AA women in BWE circles aren’t taking as much action as they should to position themselves to survive and thrive, other folks are getting ready right now. Since I’ve been educating myself about guns and defensive shooting, I’ve been amazed at all the things that are out there.
Such as an entire magazine devoted to the responsible, practical and legal logistics of concealed carry.
Such as the NRA finding a BM sock puppet to promote their views among the African-American demographic. [Yeah, despite the article I linked to above, I think he’s a sockpuppet/Trojan horse. How often—if ever—do AA males create any sort of platform of their own? That was a rhetorical question—LOL!]
My point is this: Things are getting real in this Age of Economic Decline. Other folks in America (who are generally not AAs) are engaged in full spectrum preparation for whatever may come. If your jurisdiction allows for concealed carry licenses, I would urge you to get one. Now. Before your jurisdiction changes its mind and stops giving you that legal option. Even if you’re currently unsure about whether or not you’ll choose to own a firearm.
Don’t be like most of the Armed, Work At Responsible Jobs But Still Foolish AAs my firearm instructor knows: He knows a number of everyday, work-for-a-living AAs who own guns and carry concealed without having all the necessary licenses. Thereby setting themselves up to be arrested if they’re ever pulled over or caught with these guns. Typically, they have the guns because (like the instructor) many of them have had the experience of being robbed at gunpoint by young Black males. They have the guns, but they're not handling their business with the guns like responsible adults.
It’s better to have options and choices than to not have them.
There’s a whirlwind gathering around “mainstream” AA women, most of whom are sitting ducks (along with their helpless children).
You don’t want to be a sitting duck when the music stops and the funk gets uncut.
Addendum Regarding The Recent Terrorist Attacks In France: All around the planet, Black men of all ethnicities display many of the same deficits. For the last few days, I've been obsessively watching France 24 (in English) concerning the recent terrorist murders in Paris.

I keep tabs on these sorts of news stories because: (1) As a Muslim, I'm appalled and nauseated by the atrocities being carried out in the name of my religion by demon-possessed, deranged lunatics. See 46 examples of Muslims condemning this latest atrocity HERE. Additionally, the  leader of the Shi'ite Muslim group Hezbollah said on Friday that Islamist terrorists had done more harm to Islam than any cartoon or book, a reference to the attack by suspected Islamist militants on French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. See HERE.

And (2) as I've mentioned to other African-American Muslims over the years, I believe we in the U.S. are about 2 atrocities away from being rounded up like the Japanese-Americans were during WWII. Which is yet another reason why I've always urged AA Muslims to get and keep passports. Finally, (3) foreign Black Muslims should be concerned because each atrocity increases the likelihood that you won't be able to run to Western Europe and the U.S. to escape your native tyrants.

My main point in this addendum is that the African-heritage BM terrorist (who had an Arab North African girlfriend/wife) involved in this incident fits into the emerging behavior pattern I mentioned in this post: He murdered an unarmed BW traffic cop named Clarissa Jean-Philippe (who was of Caribbean heritage from Martinique) BEFORE running off to take (presumably White) hostages (and kill some of them) in a kosher Jewish grocery store.

Rest in peace, Clarissa.

Situational Awareness For Sojourners–Teddy Roosevelt Knew About “Weak and Vicious Minds”

The Modern Prevalence of “Weak and Vicious Minds”

Today many Americans are discussing yet another mass shootingUnlike the Black Marie Antoinettes and other “perpetually surprised” African-Americans who don’t pay attention to the prevailing conditions that exist around them, Sojourners take careful note of the world they live in. Including the violent, entitlement-mentality nuts who live in the world. Including the not-infrequent common denominator among more than a few violent nuts of having served in the U.S. military after 9/11 (with or without actual combat experience).

Nobody talks about the risk factors created by the presence of modern day U.S. military veterans. In this hyper-nationalistic era, it’s sacrilege for anybody to point out that a decade of wars fought by an all-volunteer force means that the military hasn’t been screening those volunteers as strictly as they would in peace time.
The endless wars also mean that the military hasn’t been telling the entire truth about how damaged and broken many modern veterans are. Oh no, it’s all swept under the rug with the cooperation of the masses of civilian American sheeple. Facing unpleasant realities might mean an interruption in the bread and circuses of watching Snookie and American Idol.

On October 14, 1912, an unemployed saloonkeeper shot former president and Progressive Party candidate Theodore Roosevelt outside a Milwaukee hotel. Rather than being rushed to the hospital, Roosevelt insisted on delivering his scheduled 90-minute speech. By slowing the bullet, those lengthy prepared remarks may actually have saved his life.
Theodore Roosevelt’s opening line was hardly remarkable for a presidential campaign speech: “Friends, I shall ask you to be as quiet as possible.” His second line, however, was a bombshell.
“I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot.”
. . . The horrified audience in the Milwaukee Auditorium on October 14, 1912, gasped as the former president unbuttoned his vest to reveal his bloodstained shirt. “It takes more than that to kill a bull moose,” the wounded candidate assured them. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a bullet-riddled, 50-page speech. Holding up his prepared remarks, which had two big holes blown through each page, Roosevelt continued. “Fortunately I had my manuscript, so you see I was going to make a long speech, and there is a bullet—there is where the bullet went through—and it probably saved me from it going into my heart. The bullet is in me now, so that I cannot make a very long speech, but I will try my best.”
Only two days before, the editor-in-chief of The Outlook characterized Roosevelt as “an electric battery of inexhaustible energy,” and for the next 90 minutes the 53-year-old former president proved it. “I give you my word, I do not care a rap about being shot; not a rap,” he claimed. Few could doubt him. Although his voice weakened and his breath shortened, Roosevelt glared at his nervous aides whenever they begged him to stop speaking or positioned themselves around the podium to catch him if he collapsed. Only with the speech completed did he agree to visit the hospital.
The shooting had occurred just after 8 p.m. as Roosevelt entered his car outside the Gilpatrick Hotel. As he stood up in the open-air automobile and waved his hat with his right hand to the crowd, a flash from a Colt revolver 5 feet away lit up the night. The candidate’s stenographer quickly put the would-be assassin in a half nelson and grabbed the assailant’s right wrist to prevent him from firing a second shot.
The well-wishing crowd morphed into a bloodthirsty pack, raining blows on the shooter and shouting, “Kill him!” According to an eyewitness, one man was “the coolest and least excited of anyone in the frenzied mob”: Roosevelt. The man who had been propelled to the Oval Office after an assassin felled President William McKinley bellowed out, “Don’t hurt him. Bring him here. I want to see him.” Roosevelt asked the shooter, “What did you do it for?” With no answer forthcoming, he said, “Oh, what’s the use? Turn him over to the police.”
Although there were no outward signs of blood, the former president reached inside his heavy overcoat and felt a dime-sized bullet hole on the right side of his chest. “He pinked me,” Roosevelt told a party official. He coughed into his hand three times. Not seeing any telltale blood, he determined that the bullet hadn’t penetrated his lungs. An accompanying doctor naturally told the driver to head directly to the hospital, but Colonel Roosevelt gave different marching orders: “You get me to that speech.” [Khadija speaking: Now that’s an old-school man!]
. . . Blasted by political opponents and elements of the press for being a power-hungry traitor willing to break the tradition of two-term presidencies, Roosevelt told the Milwaukee audience that the campaign’s inflamed political rhetoric contributed to the shooting. “It is a very natural thing,” he said, “that weak and vicious minds should be inflamed to acts of violence by the kind of awful mendacity and abuse that have been heaped upon me for the last three months by the papers.”

Ladies, be advised that the baseline level of decency, character and resilience among the majority of modern Americans (of all races and ethnicities) is  FAR below what existed in previous eras. Recognizing this reality means being much more cautious about who’s around you than the average American sheeple (or the “perpetually surprised” masses of African-Americans). There has always been a certain amount of bullying among children and teens. There have always been romantic disappointments. There have always been workplace disputes. Injustice has always existed.
All of these things existed without an unending series of mass shootings. What’s the difference between previous eras and today? The difference is that modern day America is jam-packed with the “weak and vicious minds” mentioned by Teddy Roosevelt. Modern minds that are weaker and more vicious by several orders of magnitude.

Take Careful Note Of The Post 9/11-Era U.S. Military Veterans In Your Work And Home Environment

I know this will anger and offend more than a few audience members, but it needs to said out loud. For your safety and your loved ones’ safety. Let me repeat some of the comments I made during a recent email conversation:
. . . I’m so very sick of watching gullible AA slaves continue to speak of the US military as an “opportunity” for their children. None of the AA fools I've known who have signed up for that bs can explain why they’re risking their lives, except for a meager paycheck they feel they can’t get anywhere else. None of the AA cannon fodder or their parents will acknowledge that warfare tends to drive people crazy. Or that if a job literally destroys you, then it’s not accurate to call that job an “opportunity.”

The same applies to the AA wannabe cannon fodder and their parents. They get very angry when my response is to say that AAs need to stop encouraging/allowing their children to sign up for that bs. As the economy continues to fail, there won’t be enough money to try to fix these people’s broken minds and/or broken bodies. Better to avoid having those problems by not volunteering for military service.

Quiet as most affected folks are keeping it, the US is reaping and will continue to reap the whirlwind with all these deranged soldiers coming back. The AA military families I know don’t openly talk about how crazy their sons (and daughters in some cases) are when they return from the last decade of wars. But they quietly ask friends and acquaintances to pray (and keep praying) for their now-deranged veteran children.

The stories I’ve heard from the mostly working class, single AA military mothers I know about some of their veteran-sons’ behaviors after they get home are scary. I wouldn’t want such persons living in the same house with me. Or anywhere around me. Too many of these veterans are ticking bombs waiting to go off. The government keeps quiet about all of this as much as possible (for obvious reasons). Unfortunately, the numbers of veteran suicides and murders of spouses, etc. will increase to the point that the powers that be won’t be able to keep all this on the hush-hush.

. . . Guurl, these AA cannon-fodder parents are cray-zee!
They get enraged when anybody points out that this country has been engaged in wars for over a decade. And God forbid that anybody mentions that volunteering for military service during wartime equals signing-up to get killed or maimed. They and their foolish adult children are “perpetually surprised” when bad things happen as a result of Voluntary. Military. Service. During. Wartime.

Meanwhile, they’re constantly asking for donations of toys, money, food and prayers “to help the soldiers” (who didn't have to sign-up for that bs). And extra prayers for their now-deranged children. I’ll add that these requests/demands are typically framed in such a manner that anybody who doesn’t donate is made to look “un-patriotic.”

I feel bad for the Vietnam-era veterans who didn’t have any choice. Not to mention that was a previous era–before the US government’s massive corruption had been exposed to the masses. I don’t feel sorry for the modern day idiots who volunteer for US military service–to fight wars they can’t even explain why or who they’re fighting–after 10+ years of non-stop war. Similar to how I don’t feel sorry for the Iraqi and Afghan collaborators . . . err, interpreters who are “perpetually surprised” when the US military abandons them to their fates with their angry countrymen.

Didn’t the educated ones among those fools see the YouTube footage of the last US military helicopter taking off from the US embassy in Vietnam–while leaving all the Vietnamese collaborators behind to meet their fates with the victorious Vietnamese communists?

In both situations, a little bit of forethought goes a long way. Hmmph!
Previous eras’ American military veterans didn’t present as much of a security risk to the rest of the population because they were draftees drawn from a more random selection of earlier, old-school Americans. Old-school Americans had a higher baseline level of decency, character and mental resilience. Not the widespread
and all too often vicious minds of the current day American masses.
From an article in today’s edition of Veterans Today, Veteran Suicides and Family Killings – What Can We Do? (emphasis added in bold):
But perhaps a more frightening trend is the rate of veteran suicides, which Veteran Affairs (VA) placed at 22 every day as of February 2013. Every 65 minutes, a veteran takes their own life. And at least 1 soldier lost to suicide every day is on active duty. Veterans with PTSD are four times more likely to commit suicide. So what has changed to cause this continual rise in veteran suicides? Why are Iraq and Afghanistan veterans so much more likely to commit suicide than Vietnam-era veterans?
We know it is not duration of deployment, because Vietnam veterans spent year in country without any breaks at home like today’s soldiers get.  And, in anything, war is carried out more efficiently now thanks to technology and knowledge born of experience.
According to professionals in both the field of psychiatry and long-time military members, it may very well have to do with the way today’s generation of soldier was raised. The young men who went off to fight in World War II had far greater responsibilities and faced more significant hardships due to the Great Depression.
And just as the nation’s worst economic crash to date crawled to a close, we entered World War II. Those fighting in Vietnam grew up exposed to a great deal of hatred and violence as the Civil Rights movement reached its peak.
According to David Rudd, the scientific direction of the National Center for Veteran’s Studies, “My worry is that they have not dealt with enough challenges, enough disappointments, in life for many of them to build the kind of resilience that is foundational when you go to war.”
How do you build that resilience? Through adversity and difficulty. Going through trials and tribulation, while a terrible experience no one wants to see repeated, granted young men in the 1940’s the coping skills necessary to mentally survive war.
Large numbers of modern day American veterans aren’t like previous generations of U.S. veterans. The same way large numbers of modern day American politicians aren’t like previous generations of U.S. politicians. The vast majority of modern politicians are unworthy of your trust. They’re certainly not worth you sacrificing your life to support their lies and political ambitions.

Ladies, take careful note of the post 9/11-era U.S. military veterans in your work and home environment.

[*Bonus Note: Anybody who wants to thrive in the real world will have to learn how to build rapport and make connections in person. As far as I'm concerned, the main underlying source of the decline described in THIS POST is that certain types of “virtual” things can’t be effective long-term substitutes for more direct forms of interaction. The whole point of this online crowdsource thing was to replace personal appeals for contributions based on personal knowledge or respect for the persons asking for donations.
No matter how much many of the under-30 set want to evade and elude the personal touch, there’s really no way around it in the long run.  Stable, sustainable networks are based on in-person interactions. The same applies to business.

Stable, sustainable businesses  are based on some form of personal investment into something. Even with purchases that aren’t so apparently personal. Like the way many readers buy fiction: They actively seek out some writers’ books because they like those particular writers’ individual voices. Not because they thought their internet campaign was cool.

Readers will do a one-off experiment with ebooks based on cool marketing, etc. But they go out of their way to purchase ebooks, movie tickets, and so on based on things like word of mouth recommendations from sources they trust, like friends and relatives, and so on.

Ladies, it would be wise to cultivate your in-person charm.]

A View From Across The Ocean: A Reader's Money Quote From JaliliMaster

The Reader's Money Quote is a statement that is of such insight and importance that it merits frequent and loud repetition. These Reader's Money Quotes are from an astute UK-based African reader named JaliliMaster (actually, I think of her as one of the international "news correspondents" that this blog has been blessed to have). She said the following in response to the From the "I Told You So" Department-Pres. Obama Watch Division post (my responses are in bold italics):

I agree re: the extended readers money quote regarding dominance. Other ethnicities are doing it and excluding blacks. This is not unique to America, so folks should not think that if they go to another country, they won't face this same type of discrimination. This is the same attitude that allowed these other 'ethnics' to trick AA's in the first place. They thought that other people of colour would have solidarity with them when it came to whites. Turns out, they will stand with you as far as you are needed then you get dropped. [Khadija: This phrase, "they will stand with you as far as you are needed then you get dropped," should be painted on most African-Americans' foreheads. Starting with our gullible, idiotic (mis)leaders.]

In the UK, a Tamil man was taken to court for racially-motivated firing of black employees. Now if anyone knows about the Tamils, they are Sri-Lankan minorities who have been at war for years and are at the bottom of the country socially, economically etc. Yet, he got to britain and used all his money to buy a petrol station service shop. The first thing he did was to fire the employees one-by-one, who were all black Africans, then he hired new supervisors, all Tamil. [Khadija: It's normal human nature to take care of folks in this order: self, family, clan, ethnic group. With many people in many countries, "nation" isn't even on that list. With most people across the board, outsiders are almost NEVER on the "take care of them" list. People who are in touch with reality understand this; and are therefore not depending on others to so-called "do right by them" by taking care of them.]

This man was then taken to court by the employees. He was ordered by the judge to re-employ them or face fines. He chose to pay compensation to these employees than have them working for him. [Khadija: Right, that's to be expected. It's very difficult to bumrush your way onto somebody else's "take care of them" list.]

He was asked how he could be so okay with his racism, he felt there was nothing wrong with it as it was his business. [Khadija: To even ask that question is show how naive one is. {shaking my head}] The man who was interviewing him is some black actor(or other personality) who was doing a documentary. He was the kumbaya type of negro, questioning why people of colour cannot just 'work together'. [Khadija: Oh, puh-leeze.]

I remember he went into Asian communities(Pakistani, Indian etc), and exposed the entrenched racism towards blacks. [Khadija: Then I'm sure this foolish Negro got an earful from those South Asians. From what I've observed of them in the US, they discriminate among themselves based on color. The (arranged) marriage ads that Indians and Pakistanis put in "Muslim" publications openly state that the parent placing the ad is looking to marry their child to persons with "fair complexions." They're certainly not interested in cuddling up with folks who are of African descent and therefore "officially" Black.]

This silly negro started pontificating on camera, even as one Indian man boasted and even mocked that if blacks are so good, how come all the businesses in black communities are owned by Asians?! This negro started wailing that the Asians should be 'fair' and hire blacks. [Khadija: {chuckling}] It never occured to him to question why blacks: (1)Refuse to open their businesses AND manage it properly, and (2) why negroes would rather patronise any other business than a black-owned one!

On a final note, the whole kool-aid(I hate using that term) drunk by black folks in relation to Obama is symptomatic of how blacks, and in particular AA's, refuse to properly vet those that claim to represent them. I've seen many AA's talk about thier 'African Brothers' and 'hang' with them in solidarity, but never make any effort to engage in economic and other financial projects that could be to their benefit. They'd stand by as these African negroes do business with whites, and the whites exclude them(AA's) from being able to partake, in many cases, with the Africans knowledge. No offense, but AA's need to stop being fools. Alot of you seem to have this view that these African 'leaders/reps' would always have your backs, when they don't even have the backs of their fellow country men. [Khadija: JaliliMaster, THANK YOU for the courtesy of telling THE TRUTH. And doing so in the spirit of seeing African-Americans wake up and do better. You already know this, but let me point this out to my fellow African-Americans: We have the deadly mental habit of assuming that other people view the world the same way we do, and that they think the same way we do. They DON'T.

For one of many examples, most African-Americans have the "take care of them" list backwards compared to every other group of people. We put outsiders first and put ourselves last. African-American women put themselves DEAD LAST on the "must be taken care of" list. Nobody else thinks like this.]

The same thing is done with AA leaders, where having the black skin is enough. I've noticed the British governments habits (and the American too), of sending black faces to represent them in African countries when it comes to political issues (say negotiations in Zimbabwe, Sudan etc), because they think they would be better able to trick them with a black face, but then send white faces when it comes to financial issues, because they don't want black folks to be the link to their source of income. Folks need to understand that money is always going to be made, it's all about who makes it. With the recession, it is the smartest that will come out ontop, get with it!

Okay, I tried posting my comments, but it was too long so I'll break them down:

Obama is weak. That is the plain truth. In the case of Bush, only a select few were allowed to speak. With Obama, he allows many to air their views, but only takes the views of a select few into account. What he doesn't realise is that that is no different from Bush. I'm surprised that many could not see Obamas weakness till now. [Khadija: From what I observe, most African-Americans still can't see Obama's weakness. As a friend mentioned to me earlier this morning, most African-Americans will hypnotically cling to (and fall with) Obama to the bitter end. Even after it's all over, they still won't understand what happened, or why.]

Ignoring the fact that alot of the criticism from the right is racially motivated, there are some instances where he should listen. Him bowing to foreign leaders is one of them. Obama seems pretty convinced that he is this all-knowing, world-travelled man, because he lived in God knows where when he was a child. He thinks that he knows more than anybody else about other cultures. That is why he insists on doing nonsense like bowing to other heads of state. In these countries, bowing (or kneeling/bending the knee etc) is used as a sign of respect. But thats where Obamas knowledge stops. It is used as a sign of respect to those who one considers to be above them. [In Obama's case, since he's not actually African-American--he's half continental African and half-White---this is a case of him succumbing to the general (ignorant) American assumption that other people think the way Americans do. In this case, believing that other people subscribe to the "people are people, and people are the same all over, and everybody is as informal as Americans" nonsense. Umm . . . NO.

People are NOT just people in other places. Many other cultures have much more rigidly observed hierarchies. This is reflected in many languages even by "little" things, such as using much more formal forms of address when speaking to people who are in any way "above" you (more educated, older, wealthier, etc.). In many other cultures, everybody has a commonly understood and accepted "place."]

It is the reason the when Laura Bush met the Queen of England, rather than curtsying, she only gave a very slight tip of the head. Why? Her husband was the head of state. She assumes his same level. Therefore, all heads of state are of the same level. The Queen is the head of state, and secondly, Laura is not a British subject, and therefore doesn't bow. [Khadija: That's right.]

I don't know whether or not Michelle had the common sense to do the same thing, although reports said that when they first met, away from cameras, she gave a little curtsey. Try paying attention to foreign media for once, one would see a difference between that and what passes for 'news' in this part of the world. I remember when he went to Saudi Arabia, the moment he bowed, the entire Saudi media went ecstatic, because they felt he was 'submitting'. [Khadija: That's right. Obama was silly enough to think that he was ingratiating himself with these people by doing that. Instead, he was inviting them to hold him in contempt.] That had NEVER been done by any American president before. Now, wherever he goes, this president, supposedly the most powerful man in the world, is actually expected to bow and 'submit'. They expected it in China, they got it. He did the same in other places. It's not lost on me that it is this first 'black' president that is expected to 'submit'. [Khadija: This is a disgrace.]

On the issue of his political appointments, part of the reason that there have been quite a few social faux pas is because the person responsible for 'updating' the president on such issues is the Chief protocol officer. Guess who she is. A die-hard Shrillary nut. She was appointed by Clinton as the post is under the State Department, but she is situated in the white house. Although she is supposed to, she doesn't fly with the president and her office was moved to the State department (from what I understand, that had something to do with Michelle, as she didn't trust the woman when it came to loyalty). [Khadija: A small bit of common sense.]

She had good reason not to, as this woman was a very active member of the PUMA lot, who were virulently anti-Obama. This is another reason why I think giving Clinton the SOS role was a mistake. She insisted that she should have the power to hire and fire as she pleased, a power which should solely belong to the president. Now she stuffed the state department full with her cronies. [Khadija: That's to be expected from everybody except naive, gullible Obama. But then again, Obama doesn't have any cronies of his own--for the reasons that I've covered in previous posts.]

I'm also amused when I see people talking about Hillary running in 2012. People forget that she is inexperienced. There is a reason why all of a sudden, the secretary of states responsibilities have been carved up, with envoys to various regions(Iraq, N. Korea etc) that do not report to Clinton. Being married to the president does not count as experience, especially as up to the point of being given the secretary of state job, she, like Obama, had very little to show for her political career. The silly mistakes she has made with Russia and the Israel/Palestinian issue (too long to go into now) are just one of the many signs that she is a lightweight. [Khadija: Yes, but as we saw with Bush, the actual quality of one's performance is not what matters. What matters is how one's performance is "spun" and marketed.]

Another problem with her is that she seems to reward people (e.g with jobs/political appointments) because of loyalty as opposed to whether or not they are actually capable. This can be seen in alot of the people she had running her failed campaign (start with patty solis doyle).

On the whole Latino issue, the only black folks that can still be deceived with such BS are the ones that are negroes! I've seen many of the 'solutions' that have been put forward to counter the racial discrimination of these Latinos, the most common being to learn spanish. As always happens, the necessary qualifications keep on shifting as black folks meet the mark. After you learn spanish, you find out it's 'native speakers only'. The problem is that black folks are only able to see solutions to problems through the lens of how others can help. [Khadija: African-Americans have been indoctrinated into believing that everybody--except White men--is our "friend."] Instead of trying to figure out how to get these folks to 'do right' by blacks, think of how to make it for yourself. [Khadija: YES!]

I remember during the campaign, when Obama said that parents should make their kids learn other languages. I though..yeah, they should. He then added, "especially spanish". Latinos got so happy. Black folks couldn't see the implications of this. Latinos would not dare openly discriminate against whites, but you know they are more than happy to tell blacks to their face where to stick it. I know this will sound harsh, but people should stop patronising the non-black owned businesses. Whenever one says it, 'they' accuse you of racism, ignoring the fact that they themselves (be it whites, latinos, asians) don't patronise black-owned business. Also, if you are going to support a black owned business, make sure that it supports you. I don't think I need to explain what I mean by that. [Khadija: No, you shouldn't have to explain this, but reciprocity is still a mysterious concept for most African-Americans.]

JaliliMaster, thank you for providing these essential Reader's Money Quotes!
